Drypoint is a simple etching process that can be subtle and expressive. This workshop will concentrate on experimenting with the inks during the printing process as a way of enhancing the etched line and introducing tone and colour to the final result.

Etching With Copper Sulphate

Etching with copper sulphate is simple, affordable and safe. Learn how to use this historic acid free technique to etch aluminium. This workshop will cover all the basics of the process including: the recipe for and mixing the etching solution, using grounds, etching times, aquatinting and printing.

Photo Copy Transfer

Learn to transfer laser printed and photo copied images to paper, card, fabric and wood. Participants will experiment with solvent and adhesive transfer techniques to put images to various materials and papers. All processes are non toxic, using eucalyptus oil as a solvent for the photo copy toner and acrylic as the adhesive.
